Who I am
I'm Doug Corbett. Software developer by trade, music composer by passion, spiritually rooted. I hold the Sound Healing and Therapy Certificate from the Globe Sound Healing Institute in Sausalito. VocalScan is where those three threads met.
I'm one person. I built this, I run it, I'll be the one you talk to. No middle layer, no account manager, no handoffs. You have my full attention and I'll always offer white glove service.

Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine published an AI-based voice diagnostic system in the Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine in twenty twenty-five. VocalScan is rooted in the same principle.

Common questions
Do my clients need to buy anything to try it?
No. Every client gets a fourteen-day free trial when they sign up through your link. If they cancel before the trial ends they pay nothing. After that it's CAD$40 a month. They can also visit vocalscan.com, record a voice scan, and hear part of their personalised session without signing up at all. Zero risk on their side.
How does the commission work?
When someone subscribes through your link or QR code, they're tagged to you. You earn fifty percent of whatever they pay — CAD$20 per month on the CAD$40 monthly plan, for as long as they stay subscribed. Simple, flat commission — no tiers, no annual plans.
Is there a minimum commitment or a fee to join?
No fee, no minimum. You sign up, you get your link and materials, you refer people or you don't. Your spot and your terms stay the same whether you refer one person or a hundred. The only thing that changes is what shows up in your dashboard.
What do I give my clients at the counter?
Nothing to hand over. You display the sell sheet at reception, taped up or in a stand, and clients scan the QR code with their phone. They land on vocalscan.com tagged to you, and whether they sign up that night or six weeks later, you get the credit. No app to download, no form to fill.
What if my practitioners want to refer too?
Great — every partner runs the same program. They sign up on the partner page, get their own referral link and sell sheet, and earn 50% on every subscription they refer. Each partner runs their own commission stream independently.
Is this a medical product?
No. VocalScan is a wellness and sound therapy application. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. All materials say so clearly. That framing protects the practitioners who recommend it and keeps everyone on the right side of the line.
How is this different from other voice-based methodologies out there?
Different framework and different delivery. VocalScan is grounded in the Tomatis tradition, public-domain sound therapy principles, and peer-reviewed voice research. The visual output is deliberately its own design, and the underlying science base draws from published, citable sources. If a practitioner in your network wants the long version of that answer, I'll give it to them on a call.
Do I earn commission on subscription renewals?
Yes — every time a subscription you referred renews, you earn again. Recurring, month after month, for as long as they stay subscribed.
Do I need to use VocalScan myself?
No. As an active partner you get a free VocalScan practitioner account for as long as you're active. Use it personally, use it with clients, or don't use it at all — it's included either way.
What if someone clicks my link but signs up later?
Cookie tracking lasts 60 days. Anyone who clicks your link or scans your QR code, then signs up any time within 60 days, is credited to you.
When do I get paid?
Monthly, by Interac e-transfer. Minimum payout CAD$40. Commissions are paid one month after they're earned — after the refund window closes — so we're only paying on collected payments. Refunds and chargebacks reverse the matching commission.
Does my modality matter — do I need to be in wellness?
Any modality works. Sound healers, yoga teachers, acupuncturists, reiki, therapists, coaches, bloggers, podcast hosts, wellness retailers — if your audience values wellbeing in any form, VocalScan is a natural fit.
What if it doesn't work out?
You walk away. No contract, no termination fee. Your account stays passive and any referrals you already have keep paying out as long as those subscribers remain active. That's it.
Are all applications approved?
Applications are reviewed individually. We look for genuine alignment with wellness, restoration, or personal growth audiences. The partner program is not open to customers making personal orders.
